Just like I mentioned in my last post, be sure to goto Acadia National Park. If you do, plan on watching the sunset from Cadillac Mountain. Here is a preview of the scenery you can expect from this location which happens to be the highest point on the eastern seaboard at over 1,900 ft above sea level. You can literally see all the way across the entire state of Maine to Mt. Washington in New Hampshire which is the highest mountain on the east coast as well as Maine's own highest peak Mt. Katadin over 160+ miles away. Absolutely breath taking!

Taken August 19, 2005 at my grandparents house at Sabbath Day Lake just outside Portland, ME. What a placid site and extremely clear lake this is. This lake is part of the aquifer that the famous botteling company Poland Springs water is drawn from. They have lived here and commuted back and forth to West Palm Beach, FL for over 50 years now. You can see that bottle of this lake which is over 40 ft. deep when it's this still.
